Healing after Loss Support Group
Grief has many causes: a death, divorce, separation, job loss or loss of a body part by accident or surgery.
This is a sharing and supportive group in which each person can participate as he/she may desire.
When the death of a loved one occurs our body, mind, spirit and daily living are affected. This is a time to reach out to others and consider a bereavement support group. St. Mark's offers such a support group, Healing after Loss, which meets monthly for those wishing to participate. The Group meets on the fourth Saturday of each month from 10:00am to 12:00pm, in the Prayer Room located next to the church offices. Anyone of any age is invited and encouraged to attend; those not associated with our church family are welcome.
Some of you have experienced your losses very recently (spouses, children, parents, family members..), and for others, it has been awhile. But there is no timeline on the grief experience. Ruth Reynolds, a trained Spiritual Director, is the coordinator of this group, and she offers a great deal of experience and compassion. If you are able to attend or if you have questions regarding the group; please e-mail her here.
