Jack Miller

Chancel Choir Director & Organist

Jack serves at St. Mark's as Chancel Choir Director and Organist; he served as consultant in the 2002-2004 installation of the 47 rank Hupalo & Repasky pipe organ built in the symphonic style of Cavaille-Coll.

He has released the first CD on the organ playing 19th and 20th Century French Pieces which is available in the Church Office. He has become an expert in interfacing MIDI with a pipe organ and has offered workshops on this subject and often includes this technology in his recitals enabling the creation of orchestral effects and virtual four hands. He has several CDs available including two with Chanteuses, a women's ensemble under his direction. He was previously Music Director & Organist at Pioneer Congregational in Sacramento and a number of Southern California Churches. He earned his Masters of Music degree in Church Music at USC where he studied organ and choral music. He is an active member of the American Guild of Organists, having served in many capacities at the chapter and regional levels.
