St. Mark's Membership
Beginning Sunday, October 9, a five-part class on Exploring Membership at St. Mark’s will be offered after the second service, from 12:00noon to 2:00pm, for five weeks. New member classes give you an opportunity to discover more about the rich history and tradition of the Methodist church, as well as more about St. Mark’s and opportunities to grow spiritually. If you are thinking of joining the church or need a refresher, think of this as St. Mark’s 101. We hope that the following topics might confirm your interest in and willingness to join St. Mark’s.
On October 9, we will meet in the Education building room 26 and Pastor Alan Jones will lead the discussion of Living Faith and Worship.
October 16, again in E-26, the topic will be the Wesleyan Quadrilateral and Prevenient Grace led by Jim Eychaner.
October 23, E-25 the topic will be Methodist History and Tradition.
October 30, E-25, the topic will be The Social Principles and How We Live Them.
November 6, E-26, the final topic will be Membership Commitments: Prayers, Gifts, Service and Witness, with Margie Shunk.
On Sunday November 13 new members will be received into the congregation.
A light lunch will be available with each class.
