Social Justice Advocacy Team
Seeks to mobilize the church community to advocate for justice, equality and human rights from government and corporate policies and regulations. Currently the Team is engaging the County Supervisors and City Council concerning policies related to the issues of homelessness. This focus evolves as needs change.
Through community organizing with the St. Mark’s ACT Team
Sacramento Area Congregations Together (Sac-ACT)
Serves as a multicultural, multi-faith grassroots community organizing agency that empowers everyday people to create a more healthy and just community. ACT’s members include 50+ congregations, schools and neighborhood groups, representing 40,000 families in Sacramento County. ACT is part of the PICO National Network, the largest faith-based community organizing network in the country.
